R2021 Isabellissimo blown glass pendant
The Isabellissimo pendant was created for an installation exhibition in Germany commissioned by AIT Magazine and the City of Hanover in 1999. The fixture’s form is inspired by the curly locks and bright spirit of the artist's child. This piece is a variation on blown glass pendants created for the Tempest Project in Houston, Texas, and surf and turf in Matsuyama, Japan, both completed in 1992. These designs elaborate on chandeliers created in 1989 for Udo's in Chicago. The concept has more recently been explored at installations at Times Square Hotel in New York. Amazing lightening effects are able to change any space into some unique place with a magic atmosphere.
