DESCRIPTION:
A truly stunning and resplendent French 19th century Louis XVI st. Baccarat crystal and ormolu chandelier. This air balloon shaped chandelier has a unique and very rare cut Baccarat dome shaped crystal base with inverted ormolu finial. Above very impressive crystal garlands connect to a central pierced ormolu band decorated with fanciful swaging ormolu garlands. The crystal garlands continue to the superb pierced top crown of scrolls and acanthus leaves accented by additional swags of ormolu garlands. All original gilt.
