DESCRIPTION:
The flood series, conceived by kristin victoria barron during an artist residency in tuscany, features marble and stainless steel lighting inspired by her flood dream imagery. Barron sculpted ceramic forms based on fragments beneath the water's surface, meditating on dream images. The chosen forms were replicated in statuario marble by master craftsmen in pietrasanta, italy, using traditional carving techniques dating back to pre-roman times.
