DESCRIPTION:
The ombra floor lamp by flores design is a poetic tribute to the shapes found on the cliffs and gorges of the melides region. The sculptural ceramic base is topped by a lampshade made of handwoven linen from locally grown flax. The entire process – from planting the seeds to spinning and weaving the linen fibres– is led by a couple of skilled artisans living in northern portugal. The lampshade is also available in handwoven natural junco straw. Ceramic floor lamp, pictured here in an earth unglazed base with a junco lampshade, and also shown with a melides glazed dark green ceramic base. Each piece is unique due to its handmade nature, so dimensions and shades may vary slightly. Lampshade: Ø 11.4" x H 12.8", total height with lampshade: H 53.1".
