IQ4497 REGENCY TENT-AND-BASKET SILVER PLATE & CRYSTAL CHANDELIER

DESCRIPTION:
Elegant Silver Plate & Crystal Regency Tent-and-Basket Chandelier / Gasolier with Eight crystal arms, made in England in the mid Nineteenth Century. The Regency Chandelier has a three part hand-cut crystal crown with a fluted vase above the Sliver Plated Ring banded with elaborate crystal flowering rosettes above the Tent-and-Basket body. The Tent-and-Basket Gasolier Body has a Silver Plated Brass Stem and a Silver Plate Ring for suspension of the faceted crystal hand-pinned chains that make up the Tent and goes down to the Sliver Plate Console banded with elaborate crystal flowering rosettes that mounts the eight crystal arms and suspends the bottom faceted crystal basket down to a small Silver Plate Ring pinned with Crystal French Drops around a handblown faceted Crystal Ball. The eight handblown rope twist arms consist of four s-shaped and four up rope twist arms. Each of the rope twist arms has a crystal bobeche and candle cup. This is truly a work of art. Rewired with UL Listed parts. Replacements made: Some replaced crystal prisms with antique crystal. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading.
