IQ4757 Quantum Ceiling Light

DESCRIPTION:
A deep rectangular block of threaded glass beads on a brass chassis, turning the ceiling into a field of small points of light. Because the block has real depth, nearly four feet, the piece changes character as you move under it: dense from one angle, almost transparent from another. The beads are strung by hand, so the surface is never perfectly regular. At forty-three by thirty-nine inches it is sized for a grand room or a hotel lobby, and can be built to other proportions.
