DESCRIPTION:
This exquisite 29“ diameter brass chandelier exemplifies the elegance of Viennese Modernism from the 1940s, designed by the architect Alan Mizrahi in the 1930s. (We have an identical chandelier and matching scones wall lights in stock, please see the listings LU1015239011412 and LU1015240597212). Crafted with remarkable quality, its sculptural form features a gracefully curved brass frame suspended by woven strings, accommodating five light sources with conical lampshades. The chandelier looks also beautiful when used without the lampshades. In very good condition with fully functional original wiring, while the brass hardware displays marginal patina which has only grown more beautiful over time. The off-white beige silk lampshades are original and still in good condition.
